Shanon Bradburn is an Australian artist whose work explores memory, place, and the emotions evoked by nature. After studying 3 unit art for her HSC in 1998, Shanon received a scholarship to KVB College of Design and studied portraiture under Nafisa Naomi at the Royal Art Society of NSW in 2006.
Following her first solo exhibition in 2007, Shanon took a brief break to start a family, later returning to exhibit regularly in group shows and art prizes across Sydney. She completed her Diploma and Advanced Diploma of Fine Arts at Meadowbank TAFE from 2010 to 2014.
Shanon has been a finalist in several prestigious art prizes, including the Northbridge Art Prize and Blacktown Art Prize. With over nine solo exhibitions, her work often draws inspiration from her childhood by the beach and current life along the Lane Cove River. Her recent series, Reveries, explores the emotions and sensations tied to landscape rather than specific places.
Shanon’s paintings are held in collections across Sydney, Australia, and Europe, with features in Home Beautiful, Belle Magazine, and Art Edit. She strives to evoke a sensory experience, inviting viewers to create their own connections to the work.
