“I work as a butcher and therefore I’m interested in the relationship between knife and paint brush. An interdisciplinary exchange between skills that i’ve learnt overtime. It is the dexterity of using hand held tools every day and the physical act of breaking down a carcass for visual display that has informed my current artist practice. I’ve been thinking about meat as a perishable product, juxtaposed with the notion of permanence that is associated with traditional oil painting.”
