Eva Stockdale

Eva is an artist and stylist based in Melbourne and Airey’s Inlet on the Surf Coast. Whilst she has embraced creativity throughout her life, Eva started painting in 2022, and only recently has offered her works for sale.

“In 2024, I entered my first Art Prize – The National Emerging Art Prize – and was thrilled to be included in the ACB Selects Exhibition at Michael Reid Northern Beaches in early 2025. I hope to continue honing my skills and developing my practice in the future.”

With a background in fashion design and architecture, and growing up in a creative family, Eva has always sought beauty in her surrounds, botanical elements, and the objects that bring meaning to our lives.

Through her delicate compositions and gentle palette, Eva’s use of oil paint allows for a nuanced exploration of colour and texture. Serene and introspective, her compositions embrace the light, shadows and movement of moments captured in time.

”Wherever I am, I try to find grace in my ordinary experiences: whether it is taking in a cloudy sky, treasuring a cup of tea in a favourite teacup, or the burgeoning promise of unripe fruit. My art is an effort to capture the feeling of being in those simple moments for others to enjoy”.
