These panoramic paintings are based on small gouache studies created in the landscape and strive to capture the essence of place. Colours and titles are guided by feeling over fact and negative space is crucial to compositional construct of the works. Painted on raw recycled sailcloth, these canvases are handmade on Scotland Island and tell stories of a former life on the sea.
